New Years Morning ( Assembly only ) 
Holyhead Coastguard received 999 calls that a person was in
the water off Beaumaris Pier... 
When the Lifeboat crew arrived there was found to be a fracas on the pier by persons who had been celebrating !!!   too enthusiastically and no one in the water.

   13th. January    |         1:30pm           |           W 4/5                   |            Britannia Bridge.
Holyhead Coastguard requested launch in response to a 999 call concerning a dinghy adrift in the 
Swellies. The Lifeboat located the dinghy south of Britannia Bridge. It was found to be unoccupied
and was towed to the nearby slipway at the Indefatigable where the Bangor mobile was waiting.

   18th. January    |         1:45 pm          |           W 6/7                    |                Menai Bridge.
Holyhead Coastguard requested launch in response to a 999 call stating that a person was proposing to jump from the Menai Suspension Bridge. The Lifeboat conducted an extensive search of both banks downstream of the bridge as far as Bangor Pier.The Police helicopter and Bangor Mobile also took part.
Nothing was found and the Lifeboat returned to station.

   22nd. January   |         9:21 am           |          W 1/2                     |                  Bangor Pier
Holyhead Coastguard requested Beaumaris Lifeboat launch in response to a 999 call about a capsized
craft near Bangor Pier. The Lifeboat located the vessel off Penrhyn Dock. The craft was found to be a flat paint barge with no persons on board which had broken free. It was towed to Beaumaris Lifeboat Station. The barge had markings on it identifying the owner who was then contacted to arrange collection.

   5th. February     |        1:05 pm             |            N/E 2                      |                   Puffin Island
Holyhead Coastguard requested Beaumaris Lifeboat launch in response to a " Pan Pan " call from a
motor vessel which had hit a rock and damaged his propeller. When the Lifeboat arrived on scene the 
Customs vessel " Vigilante " had responded to the call and launched his rib so that they could speak to the casualty.  The Vigilante was then released and the Lifeboat established a tow.
The motor cruiser was towed to a safe mooring in Beaumaris Bay.
